The initial consultation is a time for us to discuss your requirements and to see if you feel we are the right company for your project. At this time we will discuss your ideas and concepts and our experience and capabilities to deliver what you require. During the meeting, you will be given the opportunity to ask any questions or ask for clarification of anything that has been discussed.
At the initial briefing, bring in examples of what you like about other buildings or developments. These can be sketches or images of inspiration. We can interpret your wish list and translate this into a great design.

The construction process will vary based on:
If a contractor is hired and is very busy, the start date will be farther than a contractor who is not as busy with work. The materials used will vary the time frame based on the degree of labour intensity. A brick house will take longer to build than a vinyl siding house; more labour intensive, the longer it will take to build. Commercial projects are longer than residential, and small projects are shorter than larger projects. A typical residential addition on a house can take about 2-4 months to complete. A commercial project will take anywhere from 3-4 months to 3-4 years!
Framing for a typical house or house addition can go up relatively quickly. After the foundations are poured, the contractor will wait 1 week for the concrete to cure, for the correct strength of concrete. Most framing can take a couple of days to 1 week depending on the size of the addition/house. Installing Sheathing, windows/doors, flashing, a day or two. Siding and insulation, another 2 days. The largest time frame on a residential house is the interior. There will need to be rough plumbing, electrical, HVAC installation, which can take 1-2 weeks. There will be sheetrocking, & painting, which will take nearly 1 week. Trim work, Cabinetry, installing fixtures, tile work, wood flooring or carpets, etc. Can be another 2-3 weeks. Adding decks, porches, patios will add more time to the project.
The budget and a reasonable time frame are stated in the contract, which is signed by all parties with copies provided before the start of any project. If by chance the project does run late it is usually caused by two reasons; one, weather and two, materials deliveries. If it's not due to nature or outside forces, we do what we say, when we say.
Again, these terms are broken down in the contract based on progress with a completion date included. Typically we take a deposit of 10% for materials, and the rest of the payments are determined beforehand. Once the work is completed to a pre-determined point, a pre-determined payment is made, with final payment due upon completion. This is called progress payments.
